Taiwan & Japan

Taiwan series published in Taiwanit Tours by owner and guide, Meital Margulis Lin

I had no plan or expectations for Taiwan; that's how I like to travel. I was pulled there by a hope for something authentic and less touristy. I discovered how Taiwan is full of contrasts: modern and traditional, urban and natural. From bustling street markets in Taichung to the majestic Alishan Forest and the tea trails of Maokong, I found inspiration in both chaos and calm. This photo series focuses on street scenes and environmental portraits that reflect my interest in traditions that evolve with time. Photography helps me reflect on the experiences and people that shape me.

The series from Japan explores the coexistence of tradition and individuality. From ancient architecture and snow-covered temples in Kyoto to bold street fashion portraits in Tokyo, the images reflect a culture where ritual and self-expression live side by side, and all aspects of society are marked by order and attention to detail.
